Instead of studying like a good little girl, I've decided to take a peek into what my near future holds for me and researching what my classes next quarter are going to be like. I've registered to take two communications classes and two art classes and this time I swear I'm going to stick through with them. I know art and communications sound like fluff majors and other people might not take them seriously...but if it's the closest I can get to advertising at UCSD, well so be it.
So this one professor for an art history class I'm going to be taking next quarter...I feel like I'm developing a little crush on him and I haven't even met the guy or sat down in one of his lectures! Most all the reviews I've been reading on him through ratemyprofessor and ucsdprofessor are raving about him saying he's one of the best professors ever. And easy on the eyes. Cute in a nerdy way. My favorite! ;) One said that he reminded him of Conan O' Brien. Cuuuute. And I love this one comment: 'GOOD CLASS! aND i DON'T EVEN LIKE ART!' I like this professor already. :) I can't wait until this godforsaken quarter is over and done with and I can move on in my life.

I Love Orange Juice
I have always been a fan of orange juice. I have been forced to pay $8 for this orange juice due to outrageous dining hall prices at my college and I picked it up because they ran out of tropicana. But I must say, I am not going back to Tropicana after I tried this stuff out. I wonder if it's Ralphs, because I know I never noticed it before. It tastes like Odwalla orange juice which I would use to get from Starbucks when I had a craving for yummy orange juice during those long days of cramming at Barnes and Noble in high school. I don't know if I can go back to drinking regular nonorganic orange juice now! The organic stuff is just so...good! It's sweet and it's natural and my tastebuds are just saying "more more more!"
I bring you this post out of restlessness and procrastination. I am behind in my homework and pretty much screwed myself over as far as school goes. But no, I must keep going, keep my head by high, and keep trying! Maybe, just maybe, I can dig myself out of this rut. I have much calculus, reading, and writing to do!

Say Hi To My New Buddy: The Palm Zire31

So this is my new buddy, the PalmZire31. Isn't he cute? I've been wanting a PDA for about 2 years but they all seemed way too expensive (especially, back when i was a student with no job income at all, now I'm a student with a small paying job. :P ). Last week, my hungering for a PDA came back full force because I felt that it'd be so much more convenient if I had a cute little PDA that had my schedule instead of lugging around my paper planner everywhere. I am a chronic list maker and I always write myself little notes on random scraps of paper and post it notes. Now that I have my PDA, I just jot down notes in that (ah, the invention of Graffiti 2 so software can recognize handwriting and convert it into digital characters) and then I'm set! No more scrounging around for little scraps of paper for information that i might need in the future.
The Zire31 is fairly simple and relatively cheap compared to other Palm products. No WiFi which is a bummer. I like how it's blue and white, has a bright color screen, and oh so cute and not a boring black businessmanlike machine. I might have been wiser to get a Z22, but oh well. My Zire31 does what I want it too. :) It keeps my contacts, schedule, my many to-do lists, memos, and notes. I also doodle on the notepad when I'm bored in class. And I can easily see what time it is in Taiwan with one touch of my stylus if I feel like. Not very important, but nice to know. :)
Aside from that, I am swamped with work to catch up on! This is going to be a looong and boring weekend for me! I slacked off way too much these first few weeks of school and I am dearly paying for it now! I have to finish my abortion paper, calculus homework and start studying for my midterm next wednesday, read 3 plays for theatre and film (they're not short plays either), and I think I'm in for about another 300 pages of reading.

Look ma! My first pair(s) of earrings!
So I got my ears pierced a few months ago...it was Martin Luther King Jr. weekend and there was no school. My friend had promised to take me to get my ears pierced months before. She finally made good on her promise that Monday when we didn't have school. I admit, I was a little scared. I waited so long to get my ears pierced, I started psyching myself out! My boyfriend was down for the weekend as well and got my ear piercing experience on video. Pretty funny. After the first piercing, I was like "Oh, that's it?" My experience was surprisingly quick and painless at the Claire's offshoot store ICING at the local mall near my college. Part of my apprehension was due to this because I wasn't sure if I could trust young Claire's employees to pierce my ears. I had wanted to go to a professional piercing place. I heard horror stores about them piercing it sideways and ripped earlobes due to kids turning their head at the last second. But my friend wasn't worried at all about that. I got the most expensive earrings they offered - the 14 Karat 5 mm White Gold Studs - since most of their offerings were shrimpy and small. I was afraid that they would droop on my ears because there was an older lady who got her ears pierced just before I did who asked for the same ones and they appeared to droop due to the weight and size. Luckily, they looked just fine and my ear piercing experience was a success! Finally, many years after the promised 10th birthday ear piercing present that was never given to me by my mother, I had pierced ears!Anyways, fast forward to now. Today and this past weekend I bought my first pairs of earrings! The first pair I bought was at Nordstrom's while I was browsing the BP section. I saw the ice creams and I thought "adorable!" I must say that I am sucker for cute things. And green polished stone danglies and sterling silver heart-in-a-box earrings are two pairs that I bought today at my school's vendor fair which is here for the week. There was the cutest little booth that was selling jewelry. I forgot the name (I will check it out tomorrow and make and edit!) of the booth but the lady selling the jewelry was also the one that crafted them all. I like that my earrings were handmade instead of some mass-produced crap. When I got back, I cleaned them and wore my green danglies and received many nice compliments. :)
Just thought I'd share my earring acquisitions with y'all!
BY THE WAY - starting from now I will try to bring you more interesting posts (well at least not bland posts where all i do is post up pictures of what i want and not say anything else besides what it is and the price. :P) and update daily. :) Just FYI!

Too Bad I Don't Live in England
Or maybe it's actually a good thing I don't live in England because then I'd be tempted to spend more money!
...shop at http://www.dorothyperkins.com/
...wouldn't think twice about purchasing these adorable shoes for the spring/summer season (doesn't it just conjure up images of skipping along in meadow fields in pretty flowey dresses and sunshine and happiness?)
...I would also snatch up these adorable peep-toe heeled flats! Pink little hearts! So cute! Where can I find this shoe in America?! Somebody tell me!
...and buying from Topshop wouldn't result in hefty shipping costs

If I were to go on a shopping spree/binge at Anthropologie where I had the money to buy whatever I wanted, here is some of the stuff I would come out of the store with:

Pleated Coat
I like it! I know it's already spring (thank god! I love sun!) but this trench is so cute! It reminded me of that Peter Som pleated coat I saw in Glamour which I was looking for online but couldn't find. And it's on sale at Macy's! It's an investment for next fall...right? Gosh I hate being poor! :P If I had an extra $150 bucks I'd totally get it! I see it as a timeless coat.

Jeans with HEART POCKETS!!!
Frankie B Jeans
available here, here, and here.
I am DEFINITELY spending a part of one of my paychecks on these jeans! They have heart pockets! How adorable is that?! They were only $81 at Revolve (as opposed to $174-$238)! I like the last pair of jeans the most.

On the Search
I was looking for this Peter Som coat with pleats that I saw in Glamour while I was reading and snacking at the semi-formal yesterday on the boat and instead I came across these items. But no coat! I thought it was so adorable!
Derek Lam Trench Coat with Blouson Sleeves - $1790.00
Wow i totally didn't see the price for this coat until now. THat is muy expensivo. But I thought this was a cute trenchcoat. I like the sleeves and the wraparound.
Gathered Back Coat - 70 pounds
I like the baby blue and the buttons and the back! But too bad Topshop doesn't ship to US. :/

For My Eyebrows
Because I have light eyebrows! The triangular tip seems like a good idea and it seems like a nice sturdy eyebrow pencil. Although it only comes in blonde and brunette. I know that's referring to the color but does that have a direct correlation to hair color? Because i'm neither...
Although I don't know how to use one. :P
Laura Mercier Eyebrow Pencil - $18

Proenza Schouler for Target
So I was shopping the Proenza Schouler collection for Target online (part of the GO International collection) and here are a few pieces I like. Of course I would have to hit up my local Target and try on the pieces themselves. I heard some pieces have a really good fit which is a plus. :) Designer clothes for non-designer prices! :D
Proenza Schouler Long-Sleeve Stripe Tissue Tee
Green Team/ True White or Williamsburg Navy/ Ebony - $16.99
I like the look of these striped long sleeved tees and how the tiny collar goes with the rest of the stripes. These tees are really thin though so that might be a problem, especially with the white and green one. But they look like a good length and cute! Good for an underpiece. Green and white would be good for spring too!
Proenza Schouler Contrast Bound Woven Top - True White or Yellow Tonka - $22.99
These are said to be thin too. Maybe that's the price for cheap designer clothes. :P But they still seem cute. I'd just have to wear a white undershirt and stuff. And they look spring ready! :) I like how the lines just jump out at you.
Proenza Schouler Twill Zip Pocket Pencil Skirt - Oxford White - $29.99
This skirt seems very promising as well. Simple but flattering (hopefully).

Bag Lady (in White and Black)
Diane Von Furstenberg Shanghai Boarding Bag - $200 (now $99.99)
I like how this bag seems practical but chic too. I personally like the black and white over the ruby and brown (that one looks drab to me). I like the blue one too in the pictures but it doesn't seem to be available as a color or maybe it's just not on sale.
Isabella Fiore Tula Tote - $695
I would probably never get this bag (well as of right now) because it's just so expensive. That's pretty much a ticket to hong kong or like 6 Tokidoki purchases or 3-4 visits to San Francisco. But when I saw it (i didn't see the price) I just liked it. I was like oooh pretty!
Marc Jacobs Leather Stam Bag - $1275.00
Sigh, same with this one! I don't know if this is more a classic or trendy bag right now but I would use it for a long time! I like the quilted leather and the bunched up top! I would take it in white, in black, in turquoise... but at $1275 a pop?! Dang. Once I'm rich! Shoot I'd go on a Tokidoki spree with that money.

SAN to SFO
http://hubwear.com/
Since I am frequently flying up to SFO from SAN, I thought this shirt was a cute idea! Although I think it's pricey to have those few letters put on the shirt. Couldn't I just do that myself? But cute idea nonetheless.
